Subash Kumar Bhattarai

Mr. Subash Kumar Bhattarai has an impressive background in civil engineering, construction management, and public administration. His academic journey includes a diverse range of qualifications, from a bachelor’s in civil engineering to a post graduate diploma in environment and sustainable development to a master’s in construction management and master’s in public administration. Additionally, he is currently pursuing an LLB in Law.

Subash has actively engaged in professional development through various courses and certifications, including programs on public procurement, FIDIC conditions of contract, contract management, e-GP, and World Bank procurement policy framework. His commitment to continuous learning is evident in his diverse set of certifications, such as Six-Sigma White Belt in Construction and Project Management from PMI’s e-learning program.

Not only is Subash academically accomplished, but he has also contributed significantly to research and publications. His research articles cover topics ranging from building code implementation to climate change and health infrastructure framework. Subash has also co-authored textbooks on construction management for different educational levels.

In terms of professional experience, Subash has been involved in both academic and consulting roles. He has been a part-time lecturer at various engineering colleges, teaching subjects like Project Engineering, Construction Management, and Procurement Management. In his consulting roles, Subash has served as a Project Monitoring Officer, Procurement Expert, and Civil Engineer for various organizations and projects.

His notable full-time role as the Health Infrastructure Policy Development and Procurement Advisor at the National Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP) from HERD international showcases his expertise in policy development, procurement, contract management, and construction management in the healthcare sector. Subash has actively contributed to the development of health infrastructure policies, gap analysis reports, and earthquake performance appraisals.
Subash’s volunteer work and involvement in NGOs, clubs, and organizations demonstrate his commitment to social causes, including women and children empowerment, safe and sustainable transportation, and community development.
