World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2022

HERD International recently observed and celebrated World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) during the week (18th to 24 November) of 2022, with the aim of increasing awareness of global antimicrobial resistance. This year’s theme is Preventing antimicrobial resistance together” and the overarching slogan continued with ‘Antimicrobials: Handle with care. This campaign was targeted to ensure stakeholders, healthcare professionals, policymakers and the public recognize that anyone can be a champion in antimicrobial resistance awareness.
