Nepal’s Every Newborn action plan and development of implementation plan 2023-2030
NENAP was endorsed by the Government of Nepal in 2016 to address the problem of newborn deaths, and stillbirths in the country. It was endorsed as a part of the unfinished agenda of the Millennium Development Goals for women’s and children’s health. It sets a vision for Nepal “in which there are no preventable deaths of newborns or stillbirths, where every pregnancy is wanted, every birth celebrated, and women, babies and children survive, thrive and reach their full potential.”
